As of January 1, 2023, the Supplementary Partner Pension has been changed. In this news item you can read more about the changes. In 2023 the board decided to partially revise this change as following:

The Heineken Pension Fund has been nominated for the Pensioen Pro Awards 2023 in the asset management category. We have been noticed for our successful in-house asset management strategy and the good investment result that we achieved. With our good investment results, we were also one of the best performing pension funds in the Netherlands in previous years.

On Tuesday May 30 2023, a majority of the Senate voted in favor of the Future of Pensions Act. This means that there will now be a definitive new pension system and that HEINEKEN’s pension scheme will change in the coming years.

In this news item we inform you about the investment result of Heineken Pension Fund in 2022. Research by consultants Bell and OverRendement has shown that our pension fund achieved the best investment result in 2022 of all pension funds in the Netherlands.

Martin Bijnagte unfortunately announced in December that he was leaving the Accountability Council for personal reasons. The Heineken Pension Fund thanks him for his efforts over the past year. In the Accountability Council there are two vacancies on behalf of the employer, one vacancy on behalf of the employees and one vacancy on behalf of the pensioners. We have placed a few podcasts on our website, called the Pension Shorties. These podcasts briefly tell you about pensions and/or when you should do something about your pension. For example, pension when you get married, have children or get incapacitated for work. The podcasts are somewhat older, but certainly still relevant (only available in Dutch).

There will be new rules for pensions with the new pension system. This means that the Heineken Pension Fund will have to make important choices in the near future. We have therefore conducted a survey into how much risk you want to take with your pension. Many (former) participants and pensioners have completed the survey. We changed the pension regulations in 2023, because the intended effective date of regulation that introduces a withdrawal of a lump sum is Januari 1, 2024 (in stead of 1 July 2023).

The current funding ratio at the end of February 2023 is 132.3% (year-end 2022: 128.9%).
