Increase of pensions with 14.33%

22 December 2022 | Blog

The board has decided to increase the pensions by 14.33% per January 1, 2023. This percentage is equal to the increase in consumer prices and the maximum we can give.

In doing so, the board made use of temporary regulations that enabled us to increase the pensions in full. As a result, pensions can already be increased at a policy funding ratio of 105%. The policy funding ratio of 30 September 2022 is decisive for the decision to be able to increase the pensions. The policy funding ratio was 131.2% on 30 September. That is sufficient to fully increase the pension as of 1 January 2023.

The board of the HPF is of the opinion that a full increase is appropriate and balanced. Part of the HPF’s assets is now used to increase the pensions of members, former members and pensioners. This is in line with the indexation policy and strategy of the HPF. And there is still sufficient capital left for future pensions and for the transition to a new pension scheme.

The increase of the pension benefit will be processed with the pension benefit for the month of February. You will then receive the increase twice. This means that the regular pension amount is received in March.
