Blog: Split Heineken Netherlands Beheer B.V. and the CLA-changes

17 December 2020 | Blog

As of 1 January 2020, the employer Heineken Netherlands Beheer B.V. (HNB) split into three new independent entities: Heineken Netherland (Commerce), Heineken Netherlands Supply (HNS) and Vrumona. In addition, as of 1 January 2020, two new collective labor agreements have been agreed upon for HNS & Vrumona Supply and Heineken Netherland & Vrumona Commerce. We can imagine that you are curious whether this has consequences for your pension scheme. In this blog we give you more information about this.

Heineken Group new discussion partner for the Heineken Pension Fund

The split of HNB’s employership into three new entities affects the implementation agreement that the pension fund has concluded with the employer. The implementation agreement sets out the agreements between the employer and the pension fund regarding the execution of the pension scheme.

The pension fund agreed upon this agreement with HNB before 2020. As of January 1 2020, Heineken Group B.V. (HG) is the counterparty that has signed the implementation agreement on behalf of all affiliated employers. From this date, HG acts as a counterparty/discussion partner for all business units for which the pension fund executes the pension scheme. The agreements in the implementation agreement have been adjusted to the situation as of 1 January 2020. You can consult the implementation agreement on our website.

No changes to execution of pension scheme

By entering into a new implementation agreement, all parties have agreed that the execution of the pension scheme will be continued by the Heineken Pension Fund. There are therefore no changes in the execution of the pension scheme for you as an employee. No changes have been made to the implementation agreement that have a financial impact on your pension.

One change in 2020 for your pension scheme in response to the CLA-change

As a result of the CLA-negotiations, there has been a change in the pension scheme. It has been agreed upon that full pension accrual also takes place in the event of partial disability. The Pension regulations have been adjusted to this and the pension fund will execute this scheme for all affiliated employers. You can consult the Pension regulations on our website.
