How is investment risk determined

We invest the pension contributions paid into the pension plan with the aim of growing pension capital and helping to keep pensions affordable in the future. We also invest as responsibly as possible. This means we want our investments to contribute to a world worth living in.

How is investment risk determined?

The pension fund aims to invest pension capital as effectively as possible while maintaining an appropriate level of risk.

The level of risk that different groups of members are willing and able to take is reflected in the fund's risk attitude. This is based in part on the results of the survey on participants' preferences regarding investment risk for pension purposes (the Risk Preference Survey (RPS).

That is why we assess at least once every five years how much investment risk you are willing to take with your pension.

By completing the Risk Preference Survey, you can influence how your pension is invested and, therefore, the level of your future pension. Together with other participants, you help shape our investment policy.

This opportunity is relatively unique. In the Netherlands, participants generally have a significant influence on the policies of their pension fund. Your opinion therefore really matters.

Our current investment policy is based on the previous Risk Preference Survey conducted in 2023.

In 2026, we conducted a new survey as part of the transition to the new pension plan. The purpose of this survey was also to assess whether the current investment policy still reflects the preferences of our members.

It is important to note that we invest collectively on behalf of all participants. It is therefore not possible to invest according to individual preferences.
