Leaving HEINEKEN or becoming unemployed

Have you started a new job or become unemployed? If your employment with HEINEKEN ends, you will stop paying premium for pension with Heineken Pensioenfonds.

What is arranged for you?

The pension capital you have with us remains yours. We will send you an overview of your pension.

If your pension is between €2.01 and €632.63 gross per year (2026), it is considered a small pension. This pension will usually be transferred automatically to the pension provider of your new employer. This is called an automatic value transfer of pension.

Please note: Your cover for partner's pension and orphan's pension ends three months after you leave HEINEKEN or three months after your unemployment or sickness benefit ends.

If you start saving for your pension with another pension provider, check whether you are covered for a partner's pension and orphan's pension there.

What do you need to do?

HEINEKEN will inform us when you leave. You do not need to do this yourself.

You can do the following:

  • Keep your contact details up to date in My Pension, so we can keep you informed about your pension.

  • Is your pension higher than €632.63 gross per year (2026)? You may be able to transfer it to your new pension provider. This is called a transfer of pension. Contact your new pension provider to ask about the options.

  • When you leave HEINEKEN, your cover for partner's pension and orphan's pension ends after three months. You can choose to continue this cover voluntarily and pay the contributions yourself. This may be useful if you do not join another pension arrangement, for example if you become self-employed.

  • Please contact us if you have any questions. We will be happy to help you.
