HEINEKEN has an association for and by retirees: the Association of Retirees at HEINEKEN (VvGH).
Purpose and activities of the Association of Retirees at HEINEKEN (VvGH)
The primary objective VvGH is to represent the collective interests of retirees and their surviving dependants who receive a pension from the Heineken Pension Fund.
The association pursues this objective by:
Representing the pension interests of its members, actively monitoring developments in this area and influencing them where possible.
Keeping members informed about relevant developments relating to Healthcare, Well-being and Housing, as well as other topics of interest.
Nominating qualified candidates for the Board and the Accountability Body of the Heineken Pension Fund, ensuring that retirees continue to have a voice in pension policy and remain well informed.
Maintaining regular consultations with HEINEKEN, the Heineken Pension Fund and other organizations that are relevant to retirees.
Participating in the Dutch Federation of Pensioners (Koepel Gepensioneerden), the national discussion partner of the government and social partners on matters such as pensions, the Dutch State Pension (AOW), healthcare, well-being and housing. This enables VvGH to stay well informed and to make use of valuable knowledge and experience in its own activities.
Informing members through newsletters, meetings and the association’s website about legislative and other developments relating to pensions, healthcare, well-being, housing and other relevant topics.
Organising the Annual General Meeting (AGM), where members receive information about the association, the Pension Fund and HEINEKEN, meet fellow members, and exchange ideas and opinions.
Organising social and regional activities to help members stay connected and share experiences.
Providing advice or mediation regarding individual pension or healthcare-related questions, insofar as these are connected to the member’s status as a former HEINEKEN employee.
In short, the VvGH acts both as an advocate and a representative of HEINEKEN retirees. It gives them a voice with the Pension Fund, the employer and policymakers, keeps them informed about important developments, and helps members stay connected with one another.

The VvGH warmly invites you to become a member of the association. Membership costs €20 per calendar year.
