Change supplementary partner's pension

As of 1 January 2023, the scheme for the Supplementary Partner's Pension will change. The following three changes are effective January 1, 2023:

  1. The amount of the premium will be age dependent. Previously, everyone paid the same premium, namely a fixed percentage of the benefit amount. From 1 January 2023, the premium will be determined based on age. This calculation is fairer and also common in the market.

  2. There will be a discount on the final amount to be paid if the age difference with the partner is more than 10 years. The premium paid is still a percentage of the full benefit amount.

  3. The maximum term of the scheme is limited to the participant's age of 70. The existing scheme continued until the partner reached the age for state pension. This provision does not apply to participants who are 65 years or older on 1 January 2023 and who have already participated in this scheme in 2022.
