Starting your pension earlier
Under the collective labour agreement (CLA), your pension starts when you reach State Pension (AOW) age. You can also choose to start your pension when you reach age 68, or earlier than age 68.
With the Heineken Pension Fund, you can start your pension up to 10 years before the State Pension (AOW) age applicable in the relevant calendar year. You can check your State Pension (AOW) age on the SVB website.
Please note: if you choose to start your pension earlier, your pension benefit will be lower.
This is because we expect to pay your pension for a longer period of time. In addition, once your pension starts, no further contributions are paid into your pension capital.
Starting your pension early therefore has financial consequences. You should also be aware that your State Pension (AOW) may start at a different time from your early pension.
