Letter: first impression of your pension in the new pension plan
Blog
Between November 21 and 27, you will receive a letter from us containing the first impression of your pension in the new plan. This letter is an important starting point to gain insight into what the switch means for you personally.
Take the time to read the letter carefully
The letter shows what your pension will be in the new pension plan based on the pension in the old pension plan. The letter also explains how the new pension plan works, gives you insight into the effect of better-than-expected and disappointing investment results and information about the development of purchasing power. Purchasing power is important for your pension, because it determines how much you can really buy from your pension benefit. In short: your pension with purchasing power provides insight into or maintenance of your stand.
By reading the letter:
you prepare for future choices;
you can already formulate questions for one of the (online) Q&A sessions; and
make sure you are well informed and will not be faced with surprises.
Provisional amounts
The amounts in the letter are provisional amounts. The amounts are based on the information that was known to us in the pension administration on September 30, 2025. The funding ratio on December 31, 2025 determines the assets to be distributed. Only then will all the variables be known and we can determine what your pension will be in the new pension scheme. We expect to send the letter with final amounts of your pension in the new pension scheme in the spring (April-May 2026).
Switching to the new scheme is a careful process
We aim to switch to the new pension scheme as of January 1, 2026. The necessary preparations are in full swing. Despite the green light from the Dutch Central Bank, we may decide to postpone the switch, for example because our systems are not yet working well enough. A careful switch is more important than a quick switch. If it is necessary to postpone the switch to the new pension plan, we will inform you as soon as possible.
