How much do you contribute to your pension
The amount you contribute to your pension depends on your salary and on the arrangements that apply to you under the collective labour agreement (CLA) or your individual employment contract.
For pension purposes, your salary is taken into account up to a maximum of €137,800 per year.
The pension fund is also required to take into account the fact that you will receive a State Pension (AOW) from the Dutch government in the future. The amount of AOW is the same for everyone. When calculating your pension contribution, an amount equivalent to the AOW benefit is deducted from your pensionable salary. The amount that remains is called your pensionable earnings.
The total contribution, consisting of both the employer's and employee's contributions, is set each month at 27.4% of your pensionable earnings, before deductions. Costs and risk premiums are then deducted from this amount. The remaining amount is referred to as the net contribution paid into your personal pension capital.
Additional arrangements may apply based on your employment contract. For more information, please visit the Implementation Agreement.
